Marienholm
A new district is being built in Haapsalu, Estonia’s oldest resort town. It’s Marienholm! Marienholm is a peninsula on the left coast of Suur Viik Bay. Scandium is opening up this area, which has been enclosed behind a fence for the past decade, to give it a new, busy life. Within the next five years, seaside villas, beach apartments, a restaurant, a yacht harbour, bathing spots, a promenade, and an invigorating SPA hotel with wondrous views will all be built here.

The Marienholm peninsula is a unique place for the entire Baltic Sea region. There was a popular harbour at the tip of the peninsula at the beginning of the nineteenth century which hosted prominent heads of state and other important visitors. Given this, it is not surprising that this place still boasts a harbour area with the deepest waterway in Haapsalu, one which is eagerly awaiting to see its potential being realised and its opening up to visitors from the entire Baltic Sea region. The Haapsalu lagoon has great potential in terms of becoming the epicentre of local maritime culture and the number one destination for anyone who enjoys maritime activities.
There will be a diverse new area being built on the Marienholm peninsula in Haapsalu, one which will offer expansive sea views for new residents, local holidaymakers, and foreign visitors alike. The peninsula will be surrounded by a diverse promenade with several spots in which visitors may spend their leisure time. The cultural landmarks which are to be found in the area will be refurbished and given new lives and functions. At the gateway onto the peninsula there will be a new, modern SPA hotel, while the middle of the peninsula will be left for seaside villas and apartment buildings and the tip will host a yacht harbour and a dignified restaurant.
