A Padel-Filled Weekend in Haapsalu: Over 50 Players, Sports, Great Atmosphere, and Community

Last weekend, the padel court in Haapsalu turned into a true sports celebration for two days – the Marienholm Open took place, bringing together more than 50 players. There was sunshine, laughter, and nail-biting moments – just as a proper tournament should be.

This wasn’t just a competition; it was a community event where people connected through their shared love for padel. Two days of playing and cheering created an atmosphere that will be remembered for a long time.

Saturday: Women’s and Men’s Matches – Skill, Emotion, and Lots of Surprises

The tournament kicked off at full speed. The women’s tournament featured seven pairs divided into two groups. Some were first-timers, some more experienced – but all had the same sparkle in their eyes. There were beautiful attacks, tight points, and shoulder-to-shoulder battles until the very end.

The men’s tournament was a showcase of speed and power – eight pairs who gave it their all. If anyone thought padel wasn’t a contact sport, this event surely changed their minds. Emotions ran high – there were shouts, high-fives, and edge-of-your-seat moments until the final points.

Sunday: Mixed Doubles – Joy, Excitement, and Playing with Heart

Sunday was dedicated to mixed doubles. On the court came pairs who were not only teammates but often also friends, colleagues, or life partners – and that connection was visible in their game.

In the stronger mixed doubles tournament, the level of play was truly impressive. Some matches felt like professional tournaments – precise serves, clever plays, and bold risks. The audience clapped, laughed, and gasped in excitement.

With a slightly more relaxed pace, but no less heart, the “Mixed Doubles Brave” tournament took place as well. Many participants were playing in a tournament format for the first time, but the enthusiasm on the court matched that of the “pros.” And that’s the magic of padel – it brings people together.

More Than Just a Tournament – It Was an Experience

The organizers’ main goal wasn’t just to run the matches but to create something truly special. And they succeeded. The schedule was built so that no team had to play back-to-back matches, giving everyone time to breathe, chat, and enjoy the day.

A huge thank you to all participants and supporters!

Both days of the Marienholm Open offered more than just results. These were moments when people came together to enjoy movement, connection, and the pure joy of play.

A big thank you to all players, the organizing team, and the audience. While there may not be another tournament planned in the near future, these two days will remain vivid in the memories of all who took part.
