Scandium Kinnisvara strongly enters commercial and residential real estate

Scandium Kinnisvara, which has so far mainly specialized in the development of rental houses, is increasing its business volume by leaps and bounds. Several large residential developments for families in Luige, Laagri, and Peetri are under development. In addition, there is a large business quarter next to the Põhjala factory on the Kopli peninsula and a high-rise building at Tallinn’s largest traffic junction – at the crossroad of Tartu mnt and Peterburi tee.

According to Maido Lüiste, the manager of Scandium Kinnisvara, the expansion of the portfolio has been in progress for a long time, and the entire company has worked tirelessly in this direction. The successful development of rental buildings and the reconstruction of outstanding historic buildings into modern apartment buildings have provided the company with a solid ground from which to expand into new business directions.

Maido Lüiste, CEO of Scandium Real Estate: “In recent years, we have acquired several large development projects both in the strait of Tallinn and in the suburbs adjacent to the capital. Today, we have a total of more than a thousand units of housing under development. The majority of these apartments are large family homes and townhouses. Our vision is to develop comprehensive residential areas where all family members feel good and where everything necessary for life is at hand.”

“The other half of Scandium’s growth comes from large-scale commercial real estate developments. For example, together with Restate, we are developing the Bekker quarter on the Kopli peninsula next to the Põhjala creative hub. The entire area of Bekker Harbor is transforming into a vibrant living environment in the coming years, with small businesses, cultural events, and everything necessary for life. We are proud to be able to contribute to the development of the region and help it become one of the most valued environments in Tallinn,” said Lüiste.

In addition to the acquisition and expansion of new development projects, the company has also undergone other forward-looking changes.

Kalle Aron, Scandium Kinnisvara Innovation Manager, and Partner: “At Scandium, we have set a goal to achieve maximum green solutions for all our developments. As a founding member of the Rohetiiger (Green Tiger) representative organization, we strive above near-zero energy buildings, be it residential or commercial buildings. To reflect the strong green content of our company and the ever-expanding reach outside, we updated our corporate identity at the beginning of the summer and came out with a new web. In addition, over the past year, we have very purposefully complemented our experienced team to ensure the best in-house combination of top professionals from diverse backgrounds. As the latest addition, Carmen Kukk, Pro Kapital’s residential development sales and marketing manager joined us in January, and her experience and contribution to our major residential developments will soon be visible.”

During the last year, Scandium Kinnisvara’s portfolio has completed a co-living lifestyle rental house Newton Stuudiod on Kadaka Road in Tallinn and a luxurious DUO Loftid apartment building with many additional facilities in the Old Town of Tartu.
