A professional rental brand Nestin Rent has been launched by Scandium

Scandium Kinnisvara, Estonia’s largest rental apartment developer launched the professional rental brand Nestin Rent. Nestin is an umbrella brand for a portfolio of rental apartments. Stylishly furnished apartments, good service, and a sense of community are the keywords uniting the rental apartments.

Maido Lüiste, CEO of Scandium Real Estate: “With the launch of the rental brand, we have opened a new business direction, which we consider very important. From the very beginning, Scandium’s portfolio has included a selection of rental apartments from our own developments. In the future, we plan to develop more and more comprehensive rental houses, which we will operate ourselves. The main feature will be the co-living lifestyle, i.e., in addition to modern furnished living quarters, we offer common areas in the houses where residents can spend time together.”

Nestin Rent’s first co-living lifestyle rental house Newton Studios, in Tallinn on Kadaka Road, was completed in September. The house has 90 modern furnished studios, a free gym for residents, a table tennis room, a washing machine room, a terrace, an outdoor barbecue area, and a community garden.

Ildiko Siimon, Head of Scandium Kinnisvara co-living business line: “Nestin’s first house, Newton Studios, has been very well received by the residents. Living in a small home in terms of square meters has been gaining popularity for years, especially among young people. There is also a growing need for community and closeness to people. Co-living combines the two. Through common in-house activities, a sense of community is created, which is a value in itself. At Newton, we have achieved that goal. The residents come together every day to work out together, cook together, or play table tennis. New friendships and acquaintances have emerged, which is especially welcome for those who are starting a new phase of life away from home due to their studies or work.”

Siimon: “In the case of a co-living lifestyle, the rule is that if a house is designed with a certain way of thinking, then it also attracts residents with the same way of thinking. Young people staying in Newton for both short and long periods are open, sociable, and smart. They have a healthy lifestyle and appreciate the gym, waste sorting, and the possibility of use of planting boxes. We offer all this for them.”

In the near future, Scandium plans to include a selection of apartments in the soon-to-be-completed development of Tartu DUO Lofts under Nestin Rent. A new comprehensive rental house is being planned for Laki Street in Tallinn.
