A new modern rental house, MAGMA Studios, will be built in Mustamäe

Scandium Kinnisvara is developing a five-story co-living rental house in Mustamäe, Tallinn. The building, which will be located at Laki 24/2, will have 151 one- and two-room studios and a wide range of common areas for residents. The building permit for the building has been issued, and work will begin soon; the builder is Mitt & Perlebach.

MAGMA Studios will have three types of rental studios – larger studios with a two-room layout, classic one-room rental studios, and compact rental studios specially designed for two people. In addition, the house will be equipped with the comfort premises characteristic of a co-living lifestyle – a gym, an entertainment and recreation area available to residents every day, a common area for studying and working, and a separate washing machine room on each floor. In addition to entertainment and sports facilities, the outdoor area will have a community garden with planter boxes and a greenhouse. There will be a 40kW solar park on the roof of MAGMA Studios.

Kalle Aron, Member of the Management Board of Scandium Kinnisvara: “MAGMA Studios is the fifth large building in Scandium’s portfolio to be built specifically for a rental house. In terms of its additional facilities, it is undoubtedly the best-equipped co-living lifestyle building, where both professionals and students working in the area can feel as comfortable as possible. The house will be managed by Nestin Rent, a highly experienced member of the Scandium group.”

Ildiko Siimon, Nestin Rent service manager: “Co-living houses are very well received among young people in Estonia. The houses are popular among active and communicative professionals and students with a similar mindset, due to which various events in the house are quite frequent. Especially in the conditions of the corona pandemic, the need for the community has increased even more, and this is exactly what the houses managed by us and developed by Scandium kindly offer to the residents.”

The architects of MAGMA Studios are Sirkel & Mall; the builder is Mitt & Perlebach. Completion of the building is planned for the summer of 2023.
